Mac Mini Repairs

Mac Mini Repair

If your Mac Mini is slow, we can upgrade it with an SSD or more RAM memory.
But you can also come to us for worse problems, like a Mac Mini that won’t power on at all, or in the case that it will power on but won’t boot fully.

Do you have a Mac Mini with one drive and want to have a second drive? No problem, we’ll fix you up.

Check below for a couple of common repairs. If your issue is not listed, don’t hesitate to contact us with your questions.

Upgrade with SSD (Solid State Drive)

Most Mac Minis still contain a conventional rotational hard drive.
These drives are based on older technology whereby spinning discs (platters) are written and read by heads. Those heads have to move back and forth and because of these moving parts, that are prone to get some wear, these drives can become slow with time.
We’ll replace your hard drive for an SSD, increasing the read- and write-speeds of your Mac Mini up to 5-fold to 8-fold.
Resulting in a very fast start up time and opening applications and files will be a lot faster!
We’ll also move all data from the current drive to the new SSD.
In some Mac Mini models we can install the SSD alongside your current hard drive, for a total of 2 drives, one for storage and one for speed.

RAM memory upgrade

The memory (or RAM) in your Mac Mini is upgradeable in most cases.
This is smart to do, especially if you’re using heavier (bigger) software, like most graphic intense software like Adobe’s or when you’re using audio-editing software.
But it can also increase the responsiveness of your Mac if you’re simply the person to have a lot of apps open at the same time.
For some Mac Minis, Apple (in its infinite wisdom) has decided to have the RAM soldered to the Logic Board. This is true for the Mac Minis built in 2014: thus making the RAM non-upgradeable.

Mac Mini won’t turn on at all

You press the power-button and……nothing happens!
Oftentimes, there is something wrong with the power supply in your Mac Mini.
We have power supplies for most types of Mac Minis in stock, so we can help you get up and running in no time.
In some cases, the power supply is still functional, but there is something wrong with your motherboard (Logic Board).
In all cases, you’ve come to the right place to have your Mac Mini fixed.
